Terms of use
This English version is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Persian version, the Persian version prevails.
These terms explain the rules for using Moroos. By creating an account, you accept them.
Your account
- Each mobile number can belong to only one Moroos account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Moroos.
- Your identity details, namely your name and national ID number, must be accurate and your own. Rial withdrawals and physical delivery are available to verified accounts.
Buying and selling
- Each trade is between 1 and 100 grams of 18-karat (750) gold, at the live market price.
- Before you confirm, you see the weight, the price per gram, the fee and the final amount. The price is held for a few seconds and then refreshed.
- The fee for buying and selling molten gold is 1 percent, and the fee for bars is 5 percent.
- Moroos may set a lower molten-gold fee for VIP clients, but never below 0.5 percent. The bar fee is the same for everyone.
- Every trade is final once you confirm it.
- The decision to buy or sell, and the consequences of changes in the price of gold, are yours.
Deposits and withdrawals
- Deposits are made to Moroos's official accounts from a card or account in your own name, and are added to your wallet once confirmed.
- Withdrawals are paid to a verified IBAN in your own name.
- Every deposit and withdrawal is recorded in your statement.
Your gold
- The gold you buy is held in your name in the Moroos vault, and its balance is always visible in your account.
- You can transfer gold to other Moroos members or send it as a gift to any mobile number. A gift that is not claimed within 10 days returns to your account.
- Physical delivery starts at 1 gram, in bars of one, two and five grams, either collected in person at the Moroos office or shipped to your address.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your password and access to your mobile number private.
- Do not use anyone else's account, and tell us immediately about any suspicious activity on yours.
- Enter accurate, up-to-date information when you sign up and verify your identity.
Our responsibilities
- Holding each user's rial balance and gold securely, in the amount recorded in their account.
- Showing the full price, fee and amount of every trade before you confirm it.
- Keeping your information confidential.
- Showing any limit on your account in the app's “Access level” section.
- Answering by phone, WhatsApp and inside the app.
Changes to these terms
If these terms are updated, the new version will be published on this page, and continuing to use Moroos means accepting it.
