The future

Now, and after

In the age of cryptocurrencies and digital money, does gold still have a place? The answer may surprise you: gold has not stepped aside. At the heart of the modern financial system, its position has only grown stronger.

Gold in the digital age

When bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies appeared, some thought the age of gold was over. They called crypto “digital gold” and predicted that the young would abandon the ancient metal. Reality showed otherwise.

In recent years, right at the height of the crypto boom, the world's central banks were accumulating gold at an unprecedented pace. The institutions that run the global financial system showed in practice that they still see gold as the cornerstone of trust — not a digital code written yesterday.

The future did not set gold aside; it only changed the way we hold it.

Gold and crypto: rivals or companions?

Gold and crypto share one promise: independence from governments. But there is a fundamental difference. Gold has passed the test of time for thousands of years; in every crisis and in every civilization, it has held its value. Crypto is young and still proving itself — volatile, new and untested across generations. The two are not necessarily rivals; many see them as two different tools for two different needs.

Old and new, side by side

Today you can buy gold digitally, trade it by the gram and hold it in investment funds — without ever touching a physical bar. Technology has made gold easier to reach, but it has not changed its nature. Gold is the same anchor it has been for thousands of years, only with new tools. And that brings us to the final hall: amid all this, what does gold mean to Moroos?
